Hybrid Steam-Water

Baelz-thermodynamic® | Baelz-hydrodynamic®

Hybrid stations - these are systems which can be steam operated as a Steam Terminal® in a district heating network, but work just as well in a hot-water network as a Hot Water Terminal®.

Baelz hybrid stations are optimally designed for current steam systems, but also for future systems using hot water. With just a few small changes they can be operated as hot water stations.

The steam and condensate control sections, particularly the control valves, are designed and built in such a way that easy conversion within just a few hours is possible. Control cabinet, controllers and heat exchanger – the heart of the system – remain in place, as they are designed for operation with both steam and hot water.

Hybrid stations are a very economical solution if they are expertly designed to initially serve customers in a district heating network using steam with a view to a later, straightforward conversion to function in a hot water system.

Baelz has this expertise, which is highly beneficial, because wherever steam or hot water is used, there is great potential for energy savings. This is made possible by intelligent selection of components and system solutions for our Steam Terminal® and Hot Water Terminal®, making for rapid amortisation.
