3-way valves

Depending on version, 3-way valves have three flanged or threaded couplings via which the volume flows enter and/or exit. They are used as mixing or diverting valves. The flow quantity is usually controlled by means of an electric, pneumatic, or electro-pneumatic actuator.

With a three-way mixing valve (2 inlets and 1 outlet), media at two different temperatures flow into the valve, where they are mixed before exiting via the third port.

With a diverter valve (1 inlet and 2 outlets) the incoming volume flow is usually distributed to the two outlet ports.


3-way valves from Baelz are suited to a wide range of applications. They can be used for water, hot water or thermal oil and stand out due to their superior versatile design.

Control valve baelz 347

Universal control valve for liquids and gaseous media in industrial applications. Several plug types available, depending on the control task. In the EMF version: balanced valve, the forces on the valve plug are compensated by a balancing surface, so a less powerful actuator is sufficient. Straight path and corner path Kvs value = 0.004% (better than leakage class IV).

Control valve baelz 347 with cooling tube

Universal control valve with cooling tube for liquids and gaseous media in industrial applications. Several plug types available, depending on the control task. The cooling tube allows it to be used at higher temperatures. Valves with cooling tube and stainless steel bellows are suitable for use with thermal oil. In the EMF version: balanced valve, the forces on the valve plug are compensated by a balancing surface, so a less powerful actuator is sufficient.
