Direct mixing of steam and water

The steam-water mixer baelz 585, another special type of ejector, is used in processes where water is to be heated rapidly by direct mixing of steam and water with maximum circulation.

Desuperheating and saturated steam generation

Saturated steam or slightly superheated steam is frequently required for industrial production processes. The best examples of this are in the chemical, textile, wood and paper industries.

Since often only steam with very high boiler pressures is available in internal plant networks, Baelz offers more than just a pressure reduction. For this application, Baelz proposes a controllable steam ejector with cooling water injection, known as a desuperheater or saturated steam generator.

This simultaneously reduces the steam pressure and injects the condensate directly into the superheated steam for cooling. This makes it possible to achieve all physically possible steam properties, from superheated steam to wet steam. Process-related load fluctuations are regulated quickly and cleanly.
