Baelz active » Projects » Chemiepark Knapsack  – Superheated-steam attemperation

Baelz supplied the controllable steam jet pump with cooling water injection, the so-called hot steam cooler or saturated steam generator.

At the same time, the pressure of the steam is reduced and the condensate is injected directly into the superheated steam for cooling. Thus, all physically possible steam properties can be produced - from superheated steam to wet steam. Process-related load variations are controlled quickly and reliably. These devices are available with all required components as compact stations which we design and construct specifically for your needs and your requirements.

At Clariant, load play of 0 to 100 per cent and vice versa were simulated within a matter of seconds. The plant balanced all load changes without strong vibrations.
