Steam -01- passes over the control cone of the steam water mixer, thus drawing in water -03- at low pressure.
In the fitting, the two media are mixed causing heated water to exit -04-.
Softened water has to be used for cold water, ideally condensate from the existing steam network.
Quantity and temperature changes in the outlet are achieved by changing the cone position.
The control can be set by emergency setting function. A safety thermostat -04- can then be used to monitor the hot water outlet temperature in order to interrupt the steam infeed in case of a malfunction of the plant.
